Attractions
Sandways is located in East Devon and part of a landscaped Holiday Park with plenty of open space and views out to the sea. It is a small intimate park consisting of just 38 privately owned self- catering bungalows.

Donkey Sanctuary |
The famous Donkey Sanctuary is located next door to Stoneleigh, in fact you can see and hear the distant Donkeys from the patio area. The sanctuary works through donations, so it is free and open to the public on a daily basis. Making it the perfect spot to stroll to for a coffee and a light bite in the café.

Sidmouth |
Only a few miles away is the small town of Sidmouth with its lovely promenade above the relatively calm pebble beach. If that sounds too fresh then there is a very good swimming pool close to the front. Although a small town there is everything you need from tea shops to lively pubs, fudge shops to fish shops. There are also tennis courts and the highly recommended Cinema and theatre which are both full of character and charm.
There are many attractions to visit in the area that cater for all ages and interests. To give you an idea of what is available we have listed some below. However this is far from complete and would recommend further research for specific areas. Leaflets are available in Sandways for some of these, plus many more. There is a Tourist Information office in Sidmouth at the east end of the promenade, with the main car park adjacent.

Walking |
Only a stones throw away, a steep path leads you through scenic National Trust land, winding its way down to the secluded Weston Mouth beach. There are several other more gentle footpaths leading from Sandways including some from the Donkey Sanctuary. The South Coastal footpath is immediately accessible and whether you want to walk along the cliff tops, on beaches, in woodlands or heathland, it is all on your doorstep. To help plan days walking there are local tide times within the information pack in Sandways for you to use.

Coastal Towns |
The south Devonshire coastline is inundated with picturesque villages and interesting towns all along the coastline and even inland. This gives you the opportunity to ride the Trams at Seaton, hunt for fossils in Lyme Regis, swim in the sea and walk along the harbour wall (known locally as The Cobb). Sidmouth has sand and pebbles on the beach giving the chance for some Sand Castle magic for those bucket and spade lovers as well as rock pooling. The small fishing village of Beer is home to the Pecorama gardens where the miniature railway is sure to put a smile on your face as you ride around under the power of steam.
All towns are linked by a local bus service available a short walk from the Donkey Sanctuary.
